Congrès des Doctorants de l'ED STEP'UP

The 2019 PhD Student Conference of STEP’UP doctoral school (Congrès Des Doctorants - CDD) will take place from the 25th to the 29th, March, at IPGP laboratory.

The CDD conference has been held every year since the first session occurred in 1993. The purpose of this conference is to gather PhD students to come and share their fields of research as well as promoting student's skills and perspective throughout their PhD. This year is special because for the first time, CDD brings the Terre-Environnement (TE) and the Physique de l'Univers (PU) components together. During the week, all PhD students are going to present their work through oral presentations or posters, all in English. You will have the opportunity to learn and exchange with the students face to face, during coffee break after the talks or during the poster sessions organized at noon.

Here is the planning of the week :

- Monday morning you are invited to attend the opening speech of the congress, where breakfast and goodies will be waiting for you.

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning : the PhDs oral and poster presentations will be organized in different thematic sessions open to the public. Monday and Thursday morning will be special popularized sessions where the students are committed to make their subject accessible to everyone. The details of the planning is available on the website : https://hekla.ipgp.fr/cdd2019/

- Wednesday will be devoted to jobs in sciences and will be composed of talks, round tables with people from the private and the public sectors. And at noon you will be invited to continue the discussions around a buffet.
