Our multi-messenger journal club that will be held on Thursday 9th May at 14h at APC (the room will be announced later on).
We will discuss the article "Black hole - neutron star merger light curve models: laying the foundations for multi-messenger parameter estimation" (arXiv:1903.04543) from C. Barbieri et al.
Raphaël Duque kindly accepted to lead the discussion. He will then give a short presentation of his PhD work. This paper is particularly interesting after the potential detection of a neutron star/black hole merger since it describes the features of the electromagnetic light curves expected in such cases and how they can complement GW to constrain the parameters of the binary.
Looking forward to seeing you next week !
